Invisalign

The Invisalign technique is the most modern in the branch of orthodontics, the system lacks wires, braces and other moving parts. In addition, it is a comfortable and discreet technique that uses removable transparent aligners that are totally imperceptible to others.

Align your smile with Invisalign

Invisalign products combine your doctor's diagnosis and prescription with advanced virtual modeling technologies to develop a treatment plan that indicates the desired movement for your teeth during your treatment. Upon approval of a plan, a series of Invisalign aligners are manufactured, specially produced for the correction of the position of the teeth.

Benefits of Invisalign

Invisalign allows us to digitally individualize each of the movements that we will make with your teeth to bring them to the desired position with a great level of precision, even planning the degrees that we move the teeth to one side or the other

  • Aesthetic alternative to conventional braces
  • The aligners are invisible to others
  • Allow normal brushing and cleaning
  • Avoid using wires and items that hurt the mouth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Large gums and/or short teeth

How does invisalign work?

The aligners used in Invisalign treatment work by causing tooth movement in a carefully controlled and programmed manner.
For this reason, the treatment is designed in stages and, in each of them, it is allowed only the movement of certain teeth.
During the process, patients use different aligners as established in their treatment plan. Each aligner is worn for approximately two weeks and then replaced by the next aligner stipulated in the plan in order to gradually move the teeth to the final projected position.

Options for Invisalign

Invisalign Lite is a more basic version of the treatment offered by Align Technology, since it corrects small malpositions, deviations or dental rotations.
Its choice is especially common in people who have already worn dental appliances before, but have not had a correct retention phase.
Generally, treatment with Lite lasts between 4 to 6 months and includes a single refinement.

On the other hand, Invisalign Full is the most complete version of invisible aligners.
It is indicated in the most complex cases in which both the bite and the alignment must be corrected.
It is the most common option among patients who choose Invisalign, and it lasts approximately 18 months.

The demand for a discreet dental appliance is not only a matter of adults, as adolescents also ask for orthodontics that does not affect their appearance.
For these patients who do not want to wear traditional metal brackets, there is the Invisalign Teen version.
It has the same characteristics as the Full system and a method of controlling the time of use that is very useful for parents and the orthodontist.
The duration of an Invisalign Teen treatment depends on the case to be addressed, although it can be between 14 and 18 months.

This is the “express” version for very light orthodontic retreatments that only require minor modifications to the front teeth.
The duration with this system is less than 7 months, although the usual thing is that a person who has experienced a recurrence in their orthodontics requires the Lite or Full system.

What is the process for making Invisalign

The first step in fabricating the splints is to take a virtual sample of the patient's oral cavity through an iTero 3D intraoral scanner.
This image is sent electronically to the dental laboratory, where all the splints that the person is going to use are made, according to the orthodontist's planning.
And it is that these 3D models allow the dentist to plan the entire orthodontics process until reaching the optimal result.
This is possible thanks to ClinCheck, a computer software developed by Align Technology -the company that developed Invisalign- on which the dentist works.
Through its technology, the specialist guides the dental movements until they occupy their ideal position within the dental arch.
Another of the great advantages of this system is that the patient can see a simulation of how his final smile will look even before starting orthodontics.
For the treatment to be effective, they must be worn for a minimum of 22 hours a day, dispensing with them only to eat and brush their teeth.
Since with the change of splints the dental pieces are making small movements, the patient sees how his smile improves day after day.
