More information about the Smile Design in Cancun

Some smile designs only require orthodontic treatment followed by porcelain veneers. Others will require a combination of veneers and porcelain crowns.
Porcelain crowns are chosen when teeth have lost significant part of their structure, such as endodontically treated teeth due to extensive carious processes or large Reconstructions with decay.
Sometimes teeth are missing in the smile zone. This required a clinical evaluation, study models and auxiliary tests to determine the ideal treatment, dental implants being recommended in edentulous areas.
Multiple missing anterior teeth may require multiple implants or an implant-supported prosthesis based on evaluation and planning to complete a smile design.
If the shape and size of the gums are altered or are uneven when the patient smiles, a gum lifting treatment (gingivoplasty or finfivalplasty) can be proposed, according to design planning, to reduce the amount of these. Finally, if the teeth do not need veneers, a dental whitening or some cosmetic dentistry treatment will be carried out to completely give the smile design with color harmony. This ensures that your smile is enhanced and illuminated, but everything will depend on the procedure recommended by Dr. Omar García.

How long does the Smile Design take in Cancun?

Smile design can take anywhere from three weeks to several months, depending on the treatment plan, each situation being individual.
If you have a harmonious smile and ideal oral health, then the treatment time will be less.
If a gum lift is required, one must wait until the gums are healthy and healed. This could take eight to ten weeks before the smile design begins.
If implants need to be placed, the time could increase from six months to a year. This is to allow the implants to osseointegrate properly.
